I think it's the web based blogging that most of us are trying to get away from. Even the better editors I have tried are not as smooth or easy as the offline editors.

Even Word 2007's blog editing capabilities are better than a lot of the web based editors I have tried. Personally I am using Zoundry right now.

Almost amusingly, the weblogging network I just ended my relationship with, has just disabled the xml-rpc interface to their system, forcing everyone to use the heinous web interface to MT.

I say almost amusingly, because this has been the last straw, and I'm now looking for a new blogging gig.

*sigh*

You mention "old friend".

I hope you are using the most recent version (August 22nd), which I suspect you will find behaves much better than previous versions (less buggy, some useful new features, etc.).

We spent a lot of time from May through August fixing bugs, getting an updated, less buggy version of the core editor installed, and adding features friendly users requested.
