That’s awesome, and thanks to Spacey Gracy for saying it. I’m “between jobs” right now and this is great encouragement for me to advocate my skills as a blogger to potential employers.
In the many job interviews I’ve had in the last four months, this topic has never come up directly. Oh, it’s been tangentially mentioned, as in, “Oh, I went to your blog and checked it out.” But that was it.
I’m wondering, too, if I should make a special mention of it on my resumé or LinkedIn profile.
Great stuff. I especially like the comments about bloggers who comment.

It cannot be underestimated how much a new hire or a student for that matter, needs to be a good writer, because it is a skill that is in great demand now in all fields and industries, especially because of blogging. It should be highly promoted and included in school curriculums. Corporate America is now realizing the importance of the blogoshpere as evidenced by the growing demand for bloggers and the increased coverage of existing influential bloggers. Gracey, good post.
