Professional Bloggers – Not A Dime A Dozen, Yet

We are providing opportunities to bloggers to become professionals in the blogging arena. We match the blogger with a blog and they provide quality content and constant updates for companies needing help. Most companies have no clue as to what blogging is and what the benefits may be for them. Opportunities are numerous for the bloggers wanting to enter into this profession.

Subnixus writes in an article:

The chances of you becoming a “professional” blogger and quitting your job is low. So low in fact that you have a better chance of being hit by lightning. All one has to do is look at this from a logical standpoint.

We of course are not provided with a definition of what Subnixus believes a “professional blogger” is, but the article seems to intimate that the pro blogger must make enough for them to support themselves. The article uses an example of Professional Blogger Darren Rowse of Problogger.net. Darren of course is known as the “six figure blogger”, and he may be an exception to the everyday norm in the blogosphere. Darren had the vision early to making money from leveraging his ability to generate income via advertisements, affiliates and other sources to make money on blogs. Darren had to work very hard and very long to get to the point where he is today.

I on the other hand believe that a person can be and is a professional blogger if they are paid by a third party to blog. This would be in addition to those that are making passive money from selling real estate on their blogs or are using the business model Darren uses. We have over 30 bloggers currently in our blogger pool and all of them have the potential of being a career professional blogger. As this phenomenon continues, it may be easier than getting struck by lightning.
