Coming from the traditional print and journalism side, it is a long-held tenant that professional writers do not work for peanuts -- doing so only drives down the entire market. It is good to hear that message is making its way into the blog space. It is not enough to call yourself a professional blogger and point to that tag as a sign of professional blogging. Pay is another factor. Until blog publishers pay professional rates and blog writers turn down sweatshop rates, the business will remain a novelty. Just my two cents.
